Our History
Restaurant Zviedru v?rti has been our family’s dream for years, and that is why we have put all our love into making it what it is now. We ourselves have made each corner of the restaurant, and each of the smallest details, and we are so very lucky and proud to have clients who appreciate the family atmosphere we have made here. As the name of the restaurant suggests, we are found in the very heart of Old Riga, next to the Swedish Gate (Zviedru v?rti). The 16th-century building in Aldaru 11 that now houses our restaurant also guards the stories of history. As for the history of our family, Ilga is the soul of the restaurant and in spirit is a true citizen of the Kurzeme region of Latvia.
